This is not a good year, we have only just got around to booking our first camping holiday this year as we have been so busy (girls getting older and wanting to do every party they can and wife working so many weekends). We have booked the Pilgrims retreat (hogburn) campsite in Kent, it has no reviews so i hope it's going to be ok, all the details i can find show it to be ok. We had managed to camp 3 times by Aug last year but i can't see us doing 3 this year so maybe its time to sell all my stuff and go for a caravan. Lets just hope the nice weather holds out.

Thanks HEJC72 i hope your right. just checked P&O site to see if we can do France for the day and found tickets for 4+car at £25 so begining to get excited about it.

Hi The Thrashers, You sound as if you need a trip away. Just to keep sad blue face away, some years are like that when you find it hard to get away, if you go for the tin tent will not need to worry so much about the weather,and added advantage is you can have it all packed up ready to hook on at a moments notice, and off you go,don't have to dry a canvas out after use,unless you get an awning. could keep your tent for the times you get urge to be in tent.
