Hi

As the subject says Hubby has lost his C&CC Membership card and we are booked to go to Beadnell Bay tomorrow. I still have mine and obviously it's a family membership but does anyone know if we'll have to pay a non-member rate for him or will showing my card be enough? I know it says on the documentation each member must present their card but just how strict are they? Especially as it's a club site.

I tried ringing the site but had to leave a message and no-one's got back to me yet.

If only I'd got him to check he had it a week or two ago I could have had a replacement here by now

I've only ever shown mine - hubby wouldn't even know where I keep them!!

Do you still have the letter saying you're both members? Maybe you could take that?

Not sure how you will get on with this but the last site we went to did not ask to see our cards we just confirmed our booking by name and as we had arrived at the same time as others they did not bother. i hope you get on ok and they don't become jobsworths with you.

How about borrowing their computer and log on to the site so as to show you are both members?

Not long after I left this message (typically) a lovely lady from the site returned my call. She said that it wouldn't be a problem as long as I had my card and that when we got there she'd email the membership section requesting a replacement card for hubby

They will have your membership details on the computer so I wouldn't worry.

Have a nice time,its lovely at Beadnall Bay and surrounding area.

I was told by a CC site warden (perhaps the same might go for C&CC). If you've booked on line then you must be members. "Anyway", she said, "If the Caravan Club were that serious about membership cards they would give members plasic ones, like the credit/debit cards rather than the flimsy paper ones." Perhaps another case of wardens making up the rules.

Scalby a few weeks ago insisted we show both cards, when asked why, " you could have borrowed them from some one OR have lent yours to somebody else ! "

For 30 odd quid a year ? Wouldn,t your pals just join so you could get the freebie ?

Anyhow twas on the board outside so it weren,t just me an oh looking dodgy !

Scarborough was keen on two cards also. They didn't spot that the one card we had was 2 years out of date...
