thinking of heading there for the night this weekend, but as im going myself I want somewhere nice to go for a wee drink and chat. Does anyone know if its okay? Or any other suggestions that are near a busy pub etc

The Red Squirrel campsite is a short walk from the Clachaig Inn - a good pub. Also I think there is camping near the Kingshouse Hotel but wouldn't swear to it. The Glencoe C&CC site will be a short taxi ride from the Clachaig as well.
The red squirrel would be your best bet, always plenty of folk their, and really handy for the Clachaig Inn, which is a excellent pub, always has folk bands on at the weekend and serves good food.
Have to agree about the Clachaig Inn, brilliant setting, amazing choice of Ales and man size food portions..I sometimes camped at the Invercoe site in Glencoe village and cycled the back road at the bottom of Glencoe village which takes you past Red Squirrel site and the Youth Hostel which end up at the Clachaig. I personally do not like the Red Squirrel site but it has been a few years since I stayed there so maybe it has improved..
