Hi,
We are new to caravanning having decided to trade up from a tent..
We always go to Blackpool every October for the weekend to see the illuminations, but stay in a hotel. Needless to say his costs a bomb with 4 kids in tow, so thought this year we'd take our caravan. We have done the campsite searches, but nothing that anybody has been to recently crops up!
We have just stayed at the Haven, Marrton Mere site & will be avoiding this like the plague again, so we were hoping someone might have a few good recommendations!
many thanks

Hi,
Hope you have many happy years ahead of you in your new caravan.
Last year we went to Blackpool at the end of October. We stayed in Knepps Farm, it is on the outskirts of Blackpool, on the North Shore side, but we did not think it was too far.
We had no problems getting parked at the Hounds Hill shopping centre, multi storey car park and not too expensive.
The site itself is very good, especially the heated bathrooms, we thought they were great.
Would recommend it.
Have stayed in Martin Mere and would not go back to it.
Only thing would be if you do decide to use Knepps Farm, follow the directions given by the site, not your sat nav if you use one, as it will try to take you down a very narrow road, close to the site.
