Hi guys

I have read the reviews but am so undecided on where to stop.

We are visiting the Cornwall area (Newquay or Padstow or inbetween) in a couple of weeks and need to book somewhere to camp.  Can anyone please recommend a good site that is good for a one-year-old, close to some good walks/beaches as we'd prefer to not use the car all the time.  It needs to have good facilities but no clubs on site.

TY.  There looks to be a club on site at this one though, was it roudy as we're looking for something that is fairly quiet.

I presume a walk into Padstow would be too far from here?

Not doing very well, most are fully booked.  Only choices so far are Mother Iveys and Higher Harlyn.

Old Macdonalds haven't replied and I liked the look of this one.

Have found two on a map called Berryfields and Atlantic View (different to Atlantic Bays), but no website so no nfo available and they aren't on here. 

Sunhaven Valley in Mawgan Porth is what you want camp shop no club its a short walk to the beach, plus private bathrooms with a bath and shower if you dont want to wash the baby in the onsite showers, free microwave and free freezer.Its a lovely site,

 However  you may be struggling to book a pitch as its very popular in which case we use Treloy near RAF St Mawgan which although it is a large park with a club seems to retain that small park feel. There are plenty of pitches away from the club so you arent disturbed, a nice shop, good laundry, campsite cafe and the level of cleanliness is great. While you might need a car if you want to drive to the beach the local bus stops at the gate so you need never get the car out if you so wish. We have stayed here 5 times and highly recommend it just ask for a pitch away from the club you will still be near the facilities as the club is set away from the main toliet and shower blocks. Never had any problems with the club or people leaving it and I usually hate sites with clubs.

Just returned from Penrose in Goonhavern, 4 miles south of Newquay and 2 miles from Perranporth. 

Great site, very quiet and a 5 minute walk to the nearest pub.

The other site to look at is Tollgate Farm, again quiet but closer to perranporth - you can walk to the beach (20 mins) and apparantly you can do this with the pushchair which I'm guessing you do through the Haven site next door.  It too is a very good site though books up pretty quickly.
