Can any site owners or lease holders tell me how to apply for a Campsite licence. I will be taking over the lease for a council owned site and presume i need a licence. Thanks.

If your taking over the lease for a council owned site I would presume that the licence and planning will be provided as part of the purchase, you need the planning documents also.

Just make sure your liability policies are in place as for planning etc, every man and his dog will descend on you trying to get their share of YOUR hard earned cash, but that said I hope you are happy in your new venture and that you really enjoy it .

in the UK you will have to have public liability insurance and if you employ anyone you will need employers liability insurance, to protect yourself just in case some one sues you for two million because they tripped up on your grass because the grass was long, just out of interest is your campsite in the UK

Well good on you . We had a buisness's in and around Glencoe for fourteen years and the Scot's are not as easy going as we are south of the border ie they do not suffer fools lightly and neither does the Scottish legal system, but you will still need liability cover, speak to your scottish solicitor (but keep your hand on your wallet) about your various obligations and dont forget to enjoy yourself you are in the happiness industry now, I am sure you will have a great time
