Don't worry too much about a site that specifically has the rental and tracks on site. Find the place then a site near. These two Forestry Commission forests are well worth a look. But be warned, there are no "kiddie slopes" here, you need to be fairly competent and have a decent bike (even for the "easy " trails). Coed-y-Brenin Wales and Dalby Forest North Yorkshire (there is a camp site right on the edge of the forest at Dalby). There are other Forestry Commission forests all over Britain and they go out of their way to please the "MTB gang" and walkers alike. Forest holiday sites are the best option if to really need the bike hire and trails on site.
