Anyone recommend a site near Filey that isn't a holiday park or on the cliff top?
Think we'll camp there next year instead of staying in the usual flat but I find the Haven sites too noisy and I know how windy it gets on the top (don't fancy a flattened tent!)
I have 2 kids so can't go adults only but don't necessarily need playground etc for them.

i've only stayed at the blue dolphin site in a static years ago, and on the clifftop sites it does get windy , my mrs and kids want to go around that area in a couple of weeks just for a change rather than down south , hoping someone can recommend a site near scarborough thats not on a cliff and doesnt want £35 a night like the c and cc
My friend and Childminder (and camping buddy) is giving the kids a treat and camping at Centenary Way this week (so if it rains and they go stir crazy, they can go home for a bit!)
So will take some photos and post them this week
Just read some of the reviews for Centenary Way and it's looking very promising. Only concern is a couple of reviews mentioned that the pitches are hard standing - not so great in a tent.... Could you comment on this when you've been please Sam? (hope you have fun!)

Caravan pitches are hardstanding Karen, though oddly enough when we were there I did see a couple of tents pitched on them, but there's a tent field at the bottom end of the site which is all grass, so you don't need to worry

Thanks - just got a bit worried as the first two reviews I read from tent owners said they were pitched on the hardstanding ones. Would hate to get there and find that's where I'd been put but I'll check if/when I book.
Also considering Saxdale House (thanks Sam).

What about Saxdale House which is just the other side of Hunmanby, about 3 miles outside of Filey, very peaceful/
Best wishes Sam
I was also about to recommend Saxdale House.
Nice quiet site with lots of space and a very nice friendly owner. Near enough but far enough away from everywhere iyswim
