I have just booked the above campsite for 3 nights next week, to attend the Dawlish airshow.
Anyone been there, is a nice site, I know about the hill you have to trek up to get to and from the beach, but myself and OH are youngish and slightly fit myself OH super fit!!
i also understand that you have to pay 20p for a shower, are they nice showers? For me the shower situation makes or breaks a camping trip.
Off now to purchase my heater, and get ready for camping trip no.2 of the season.
yayyy can't wait!!!

Thanks for that Clare and Homebird.
I shall task the OH to take piccies of the airshow, then I'll try and post them on here, and I shall lookout for the Monster Trucks too, we have no kids (thanks god), but myself and OH do qualify!!!
We have just paid £60.50 for 3 nights 2 adults with leccie, which I though was a bargain. Peppermint park is £27 per night with leccie and £20 pn without. I normally pay £30 pn with leccie at Freshwater.
Now the next quest, to find somewhere for bank Holiday, thinking Dartmouth!!

Clare,
It sounds like you are in the 'casual' area, which looked like a tiered field just behind the shop, with a little walk to the shoer block. From ehat I seen when having a gander the other week (when I stayed at the opposite static site) the feidl was large, but no tents were in it at the time. The actual main tenting field is quite small and up the back of the site out the way. I'm sure you will love it there, you are only a 5 minute walk away from the beach, so the car can have a well deserved rest. I would totally reccommend the supermarket Geralds (i think its called) they do fantastic offers in there on all your family staples. The onsite shop is quite small tho.
When I booked in at leadstone, they asked the size on my tent, I said 5 man, the booking form was delivered to me yesterday and the 'small tent' box was ticked with 5 man written next to it. i think it is the normal thing now for 5 man tenst to be classed as small, whcih is fine for me as there are only 2 of us in it!!
Thanks for the link, looks like th e week your there they are doing Bugs things on the Nature reserve for the kids, would yours like that? The nature reserve is at the end of the beach to the left of the Boathouse.
Enjoy your holiday, I'm sure you won't be bored there is so much to do there, and relaxing at the same tiime.
