Hi there, I'm taking my 16 year old nephew away from his xbox and want to get him as close to nature as possible, ideally I'm looking for a field with a tap and a toilet no more than 4 hours from west london.
Has anyone got any recommendations / suggestions.

Hole Station Near Beaworthy in Devon.

Within your time frame.  12 pitches only amongst a forest, a back to nature site with no electric, compost loos and fire pits on each pitch. Plenty of woodland to run around in and a 15 minute walk to the local pub if required.

The forest holiday sites in the New Forest aren't tent only but most of them have no hookup facilities so are stand alone fields with toilet/shower etc. Easy enough to get to by train if need be from London in a couple of hours

Welsummer in Kent fits the bill. You can camp in the field or wood and they have campfires. If you search on here you'll find it. Lovely site.
