I collected these when I was I lot slimmer than I am now. It's not the sites necessarily. Seemed that each town and village, or country and county did its own sticker like a shield or coat of arms. Tea spoons and tea towels as well. I think the T shirt took over a while ago. I only seem to see the stickers in old campers (esp VW) these days. I wonder if Ratty has a big collection.

we used to collected them and put on the kitchen window of our caravan - long time ago. Not sure if sites or towns bother with them now but it was a great reminder of where you had been and if it was a site sticker often had a phone no on for you to contact them again.
Just a question really - but if they were available how much would you pay for them?
Ohhh I remember caravans with windows full of the pennant stickers arranged around the edge of the window or in circles. In fact we had a few on one of our old caravans.
Yes there are many araeas of Corwall that still have the reverse window sticker or the standard adhesive stickers. We had a number of them on our trailer box lid until we sold the trailer.

I'd buy them but I've settled for fridge magnets. Boring and predictable I know but everytime we open the fridge or go into the kitchen it reminds us of all the great places we've visited over the years and the friends we've made.
My parents always bought stickers for round the caravan kitchen window when i was young, we had quite a collection from different places, but by the time i had my first caravan you couldn't really get them, we did manage to find a Cornish flag, a Saltire & Yorkshire rose though.
Nowadays we buy fridge magnets or teatowels....the fridge magnets disguise our ugly kitchen boiler and the teatowels are used for camping.
