Hi,

Pinched the idea off another thread

We will be travelling to Norfolk from West Yorks on Monday which comes in at about 4 hours.

Any hints or tips or recommendations for stopping off anywhere?

Many Thanks!

I wouldn't be stopping if it's only four hours.  Get there and start enjoying yourself.

I tend to agree with Jim, 4 hours isn't a great problem, however when we went to Norfolk coast from West Yorkshire a coupleof years ago, we stayed at "ferry Meadows" Caravan club site, it was approx half way, a lovely site and the road to our destination from Peterborough was almost straight across country. So straight down A1 to ferry meadows and then across to Norfolk..enjoy!

I can't normally drive for more than two hours without stopping due to the amount I drink when I am driving (water!). Plus the screaming brats in the back ...(just a joke ;-) )

Having travelled the route from South Yorkshire to Norfolk many times to see my family - I would suggest stopping at the Farm Shop which is just past Spalding - food is cheap and cheerful and you can stock up on any veg you want but beware they can seem a bit pricey.  Plants always seem a good buy but maybe not when you have a car full of camping equiptment !

Enjoy !
