have spent the last few days trying to find a C/L site within 50 miles of Northampton that has vacancies over the bank holiday, it seems every where is fully booked, there was a time when you took the van out, and just turned up at the farm/cl and was able to stay for a couple of nights or so with out booking or anything, these days it seems you have book weeks ahead even for the c/l sites, a sign of the times.

This only a thought!!! But wouldnt it be a good idea if this site had a cancellations section! It could really help each other out especially at bank holidays etc..

It seems that as commercial sites seem to be coming more expensive, lots of people are turning to cl's and cs's.
Yep - we are returning to caravanning after a 3 year break and thats certainly what we intend to do. Love the little out of the way CL's.
I agree about the C/L sites being out the way etc, thats one of the reasons why we love staying at them, but at the moment have not been able to find one in this area, with ehu who has a vacancy.
But we are still hoping we will find one before the weeks out.

If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
