Can someone please help me, I am to be a best man at a wedding and need to plan a stag do, I want it to be a bit different and go camping, the problem is I need a relaxed remote camp site with a few attiviaties, fishing etc, that is happy for a group of around 15 men to camp, (and drink) does anyone have any good places they have been too?
Thanks

My friends have used a campsite on the Isle of Wight for years as a boys get together - this year they each took their sons! Wives stayed away. Not sure which unfortunately. I wouldn't say it was a stag weekend though.
If its not peak season, you could go for a site with an overflow or rally field - may be more amenable to a single sex group and might be less disruptive to other campers.
Why not use the search facility above and pick C&CC CS that is at the back of a pub or something with fishing etc and offer to pay for all the pitches so that you have it to yourself ! Then you can do what you want. Finding one without any bookings to start with might be a problem if your lead time isn't long !
When we used to camp with a group of friends many many years ago Southwold site down by the harbour was fairly laid back. I think it was council run, but things might have changed in the 25 years since. But anyway, definitely within your drive time, with fishing and plenty of good pubs within walking distance.

not sure if it is within the 4 hour limit but 'hillend' in the gower would be suitable. no fishing but a beach on your doorstep that do have surfing lessons?? cafe on site, pub just up the road and they have a 'groups' field.

I agree with Shirl. Hope you get booked and make sure it is away from me!!!

Try looking for sites that have a seperate rally field - they may be more willing to rent you this rather than have a large, same-sex group in the middle of the main site.
try ringing lakeside caravan park in downham market they are a good site with 4 fishing lakes and a camping lake for tents they maybe able to help you the name might also come up on here it will either be lakeside or westhall
