Hi,

If you have experience of a seasonal pitch within one hour of Preston Lancashire, and are able to recommend one, please can you post the site?

We have two big Newfoundland dogs and would prefer a quieter site.

Would you prefer to be 1 hour North or 1 hour South? Makes a big difference if you live in Preston. 1 hour North on M6 you are in the Lake District!! One hour South - Manchester and beyond.

Two very different places and two hugely different price brackets.

Come off M6 at Carnforth, 2 mile back down coast road to Bolton-le-sands. Very quick from Preston.

Good base for exploring Lakes & Dales.

Thanks for that recommendation. The fees are £1379 at Holgates (Mar-Oct) - is this reasonable?

Forgot to add we dont need any facilities with the exception of EHU and a nice clean shower block.

The Hopkinsons site is open March till January the site is family run and as a good dog walk. We live in the Greater Manchester area it takes us about an hour and half leave the motorway at J40 and head for Keswick good luck in your search.

It looks good. I've sent them an email asking about costs and if they have a spare seasonal pitch. Do they offer winter storage?

Hi You would be better phoning them and ask for Ian. Your van stays on your pitch all through the year. Yes they did have pitches free.  I have had my van there for 4yrs now. Lovely friendly site and beautiful views of Blencathra.

Hi Wilsy. Just noticed from your homepage that you are into to motorbikes, you should fit in well there. The owner of the site is well into biking and a few others on the site they do alot for charity as well as regular jaunts out.Good Luck.
