Polmanter is a great site and there is a bus service down into St Ives from the site. Gwithian and Hayle are a short car drive away. Gwithian Farm has no on site entertainment but indoes have a pub opposite which fills quickly. St Ives Bay Holiday village is huge but has lots of onsite facilities and access to a great beach.

6th July Moving to Hayle
We stayed at Polmanter some years ago now and it was a very busy site. Three years ago we stayed at Little Trevarrack (owned by a member of the same family as Polmanter) and it was quieter IMHO. A bus service into St Ives from this site too. We now prefer to be further out and for two years have been to Globe Vale - a really lovely site, well worth a stay. Next year hopefully off to France.
Thank you for all your help i like the idea of polmanter and the bus service, the web site is good you can see all the pitches before booking thanks again
Don't expect much entertainment on in the club house at Polmanter. Stayed in June for a week this year (no entertainment) and in July for a week last year (one man and guitar on midweek). I still love the place but it doesn't seem to have the same sort of clubhouse as other "holiday parks". That said I absolutely love it. St Ives is great and the little bus is great to bring you back up from the town - the walk down is pleasant over the fields and lanes (not main road way).
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
