When I run the country I'm going to bring in a law that makes every campsite/ caravan site that has shower facilities put in at least 3 coat hooks in each cubicle. I'm amazed at the number of sites that have spent a lot of money on their facilities block and can't be bothered to buy a few hooks for pennies. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to stockpile my clothes on the floor and throw the towel over the door.

And please can we have a small shelf to put our £200 spectacles on

I agree, such a little addition, but really frustrating if the floor is dirty/wet.

Totally agree lots of hooks, a shelf for my bags when Im showering the children & an in shower shelf to put my wash stuff on - some of us girlies just don't take one bottle into the shower!!

Yep have to agree, wonder if they haven't thought about it and no one has even said anything to them, or maybe they can't be bothered.

I think next time I find this I might just ask why.

When I rule the country I will be banning push button showers too. Especially the ones that last about 10 seconds before you have to push them again!!

I now take 2 or 3 suction hooks with me when I camp because I was fed up of encountering that very same problem!

You can get plastic hooks that hook over the top of a door. I think Betterware do them and you can get them from those annoying supplements in Sunday Newspapers

When we put our new toilet/shower block on 3 years ago - purchased 10 sets of over the door hooks with 4 hooks on each. We adjusted the arms so that they fitted over the doors. Guess what? within 6 months we had purchased another 10 sets because they walked -- some we found thrown into our woodland others no trace of at all. We have tried the stick on sort but they arent any good and fall off. We have just found a supplier that does a different sort that they guarenttee stick to plastic walls but they arent cheap, so we thought we would just try a few to see if they live upto the claims of the company ie do stick and do not rust. But if anyone has any other ideas please let me know.

Most pound shops do the over the door type, the sinle ones - I keep 2 in my wash bag. So annoying trying to hang clothes, towel, etc

When I run the country I'll put Whacker in charge of all outdoor leisure including shower-cubicle legislation. Rooks can be in charge of Laura Norder. Webby and Ratty will jointly run all communications and broadcasting, of course, and UKCS will have its own television station. The 'nookie in a tent' thread will become our very own Channel XXX
