Hi Just wondering, we have booked to go to Sherwood forest holiday park, due to arrive on Friday.
We were supposed to be going with friends, in our tent. They said they dont want to go now cause of the weather ( understandable i suppose?). And my kids are poorly with colds. So would make sense to cancel this time.
Would we get our money back? If not would it be ok to let someone else go instread of us?
TIA

I would ring and explain the kids are poorly ask if your money could go to another date i doubt they have many bookings anyway you can only try and you will be informing them instead of just not turning up

Hopefully somewhere for a weekend in Sept
The camp site is fully booked. I have explained that I may want to cancel, they said that if the pitch can be re let then we will get our money back, they are still getting calls, so chances are they could re let!
Trouble is I really want to go, they put on a great haloween event! :D Maybe the kids will be fine by then?
And if I take lots of warm clothes and my heater we should all be fine.
Thanks for your reply!

if theyve only got colds, then i would carry on and go!! take some hot water botles for the beds at night and plenty of layers , bit thick jumpers are no good, you need several layers, a big bag of spare blankets that you dont mind being turned into ponchos if needed!!! by friday there olds are likely to have gone anyway!!
go on...you know you want to!! (i would!!)

Have just seen my local weather forecast for Nottingham and the weekend looks good. Weather is forecast mild, sunny intervals and 15C with southerly winds. Sounds ok. I've just booked a site at Southwell.
I would go I'm sure the kids won't want to miss it, lifes too short, and anyway if you get there and find you've made the wrong decision, come home again.
