Hi all,
I am researching a camp site that would be able to provide a space for around 100 guests (or less) for a weekend wedding in July 2012. I need space for a marquee and campers. Preferably somewhere in the north, Peak District, Derbyshire or somewhere a bit further then that?
Somewhere that would allow music....could provide my own generator etc no problem.
I want to find somewhere a bit isolated and idyllic, trees and pond/lake/stream would be the dream! But I understand might not be possible! I already know all about not being able to get married outside I am going to organise this separately.
If anyone could help I would be so so so happy!
Thank you :D

They have their own private woodland which can be booked for parties etc - the woodland leads down to a private beach overlooking the river Kent estuary and Morecambe Bay and the hills of the Lake District. When we were there a couple of years ago there was a party going on and a couple of marquees up, although they weren't big ones, and people in little tents dotted about among the trees. They were also playing music quite loud but because the woodland is away from the main site we could hardly hear it.

Have a look at our website we are doing this kind of thing more and more. Ample space for camping and marquees. No need for gennys etc as we have the power! We have 11 booked for next year and 4already for 2012. We are putting showers and toilets for next year for just this kind of thing.
Also you can get "married " outside you just do the legal but at the registary office and then you can have a celebratory services whereever you like. We have had "humanist "weddings "celebratory services ( our own son had that) I have photos I can e mail to you if you contact us through our website.
I am not advertising here but can give you any advice you need for other places.

The music went on till at least midnight - I could just faintly hear it from where we were pitched. Now whether that was ok or they were flouting the rules I don't know, but at least you can ask.

Sorry, we've only been to a couple - one of which, The Cross Keys in Flitwick in Beds, had a marquee up and a wedding on when we stayed there - which gave me the idea. It went on until 1.00 am ! A bit far South for you though I think ! Good Luck anyway.
