does enybody know were to go for christmas its my first time in the van for christmas and dont wanna be disapointed for a fun few days and a chillout time central of the uk and yorkshire , dont mind a couple os hours drive and a place without children , ahhhhhh relaxation.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
But I would have thought that most people with kids will be at home for Christmas (or on rally's/temp holiday sites). There were none at Littlehampton CC site last Christmas anyway !
What about somewhere like the Grouse & Claret pub campsite in Rowsley, Derbyshire. Hardstanding pitches open all year round with hook up. Good pub, nice xmas dinner on your doorstep & take a brisk walk afterwards!!
Try the Vale of Pickering site between Pickering and Scarbourgh i have'nt been in winter but its a superb site and they do special events at xmas/new year there are details on the website
------------- I Think Therefore I Am I Think? eh? If all is not lost where is it?
We have just spent 5 nights at this site http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=4131 absolutely beautiful, they have a first class restaurant, swimming pool, hard standing and 2 fishing lakes. I know they have a special christmas day menu, but I am not sure if there are spaces available. Really peaceful and about average price for a site.
