Hi all
Having just completed and totally loved our first year of caravanning we are now looking to use the van all through winter months.
With this in mind we would appreciate recommendations for suitable sites to use.

Ideally within an hours drive of the Teesside area in any direction , hard-standing or well drained with electric hook up ,toilet facilities would be good but not essential , walking distance to a pub would be a bonus. We prefer smaller sites and would even consider Cls.

Many thanks in advance

Jim

Byreside near Consett? not sure if it's open all year though. It's a nice and well priced site but not within walking distance of a pub. Has loos and showers. Not sure if they have a policy as regards length of stay either. CLs and CSs are not supposed to have anyone staying for more than 28 days, and you are not supposed to leave your caravan unoccupied even for 1 night, but I know for a fact that these rules are regularly flouted.

We used Hillside at Knayton between Christmas and New Year. The pitches are all gravel and have their own utilities, and the shower block is as good as you will find anywhere.
