Breathed a sigh of relief when we landed here at Chatsworth this afternoon. Looked as if it might not have been possible last week.

Most of the outside taps are frozen but getting water from veg prep area.

Everywhere looks beautiful and seasonal.

-10 here in Langport yesterday morning, but then last night it all started to thaw - this in some ways is even worse, 1 caravan totally flooded inside, 2 others with outside burst pipes, and thats just the begining. This morning its not anywhere near as cold as yesterday and overnight its been thawing well but its very slippery under foot.

We woke up yesterday to a hard frost and white gardens and roofs but it's a totally different story this morning - black roofs and green gardens (well brown/mud actually).24 Even the icicles that have been on the camper for almost a week have gone!24

Thawing here in Yeovil however, wife still poorly so no trip for us.

Hi Sharon

The world gets smaller by the minute, I originate from Illogan, nr Redruth and my Uncle used to be Manager of a bank in Bude when I was little. I have many fond memories of the area and my folks still live near Portreath and we get down with or without the van as often as we can.

Lol what are we like! Scar I reckon I might know where you are, I have seen another Sterling Searcher parked up 5 mins drive from me lol.

We always holidayed near Bude as kids, mostly on a CL which was a working farm just outside near, erm, Kilkhampton would it be?
