I live in Ruthin, and I wouldn't really advise taking the route that Adams suggests, yes you avoid having to turn in by coming at the junction from the opposite direction, but that is an even narrower road, the start of which is in town past loads of parked cars. But if you really want to do it, from the Tesco's roundabout in Ruthin, take the A525 towards Wrexham, turn left after the Anchor Pub and past the community Hospital, fork left at the top of the hill, and then after about half a mile it brings you to the junction, opposite the gates of Bathafarn Hall.
The best way is to turn off the A494 onto the B5429 after Llanbedr. The CL is 400 yards on the left. the B5429 single lane but it's not narrow. Full sized school buses use it. See for yourself below, this view is looking north back towards the A494, and you would have to swing out to turn left into the fenced entrance.
