Hiya Guys ,we were wondering if anyone has stayed at 'the bull in the thorn' site near Buxton in Derbyshire ? We've booked on there for new years eve,would it be advisable to go there considering its remoteness or leave it till the weather improves a little and go in spring or summer ? any help you can provide guys would be gratefully appreciated,Thanks,Paul and Sam x

Never stayed here but have visited the pub several times.  A small serving bar but we've always enjoyed our food here.  They have a room at the back to eat (with a medieval banquet 'feel' to it) - ideal if you are part of a group.

The pub is lovely in winter they have a real fire, I would imagine it gets crammed at New Year though. Not sure about the site think it may be a bit basic for the winter.

Not stayed at the site but it is a lovely spot in Summer - great walking or biking on the High Peak Trail.Can be bleak in Winter.Roads can get very bad quickly as it is in a very exposed area so check before travelling.
