Hi Pat,
It's a while since you posted, so you may have got fixed up. However, we live near Leeds and have a seasonal pitch at Dacre Lakes in Brandesburton (between Beverley and Hornsea).
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1042
It is a great site with a large lake for fishing / waters sports, and is a journey of approx 1.25 hrs from Leeds.
The terms and conditions have changed for next season (eg. 8-month season rather than 10-month, electricity to be charged), so it may be that there is availability due to some owners not liking the new conditions (although I have no inside knowledge on this!)
If this site does not fit the bill, there are a quite a few sites with seasonal pitches in the Brandesburton area you may like to look at.
Regards,
Liz

45 mins sounds ideal but most people dont seem to find what they want that near to home.
I have been looking around and the highest i have been quoted was on the dorset coast at £2190 and that was for 6 months with a limite of 65 days use - seems very expensive to me.
Oh my life that does sound extremely expensive even with it being in a lovely part of the country.
We took a long time to decide. Lots of looking at reviews on here and websites of various caravan sites. Made a big list with facilities, cost, what's included, months you can use it, are awnings allowed, etc so we could really compare them. Also visited a few to see if they ticked all the boxes.
We chose ours because although it's quite close to home, there are alot of places and attractions to visit in the surrounding areas and we love the fact we can just go after tea on Friday night, miss the traffic and chill out for the weekend and not have to think about coming back till teatime Sunday.
------------- Smoke me a kipper ............ I'll be back for breakfast!!!!!
