Considering book a pitch here for Spring Bank Holiday week in May. Has anyone been here before?

It says the pool is open during that week? But is it really? As we have been to sites that state that their pool opens then but when we get there we find out they're not open til the school summer holidays.

Also, is there a beach in walking distance?

Are there views?

Any more information would be fantastic - the reviews on here that i have read sound brilliant.

We went to Tencreek in Looe last year. Site was fine but the location was almost perfect with a lovely walk down to Talland Bay. Was hoping for a similar location but a better site really.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Closest beach is Porthluney (Caerhays).  You could walk it (but I wouldn't!),  I believe it was approx couple of miles away (felt like it in the car) Not sure if there is a short cut avoiding the main road......  roads narrow as approaching the beach (single track) so care needed and when driving also as loads of pheasants! Lovely beach though, one of our favourites.

We went in September and the pool was closed, can't imagine it would be open any other time than the summer school holidays to be honest.

On every page of our website is our "Key Dates". These help all our guests know when certain bank holidays are along with our opening and closing times for all our facilities.

For the 2011 season our swimming pool is open from 28th May until 2nd September.

We are 1.7 miles from our closest beach. We recommend to drive however some do walk.

Of the availability left for Whitsun week I would have a look at pitches 26, 65, 75, 109 or 117. These pitches are south facing.

I hope this helps,
Robert

Tregarton Park is a lovely site 24

And as they say their pool opens on 28th May.  Having been there I am confident that they're true to their word and the pool will be open.  We didn't use the pool but the area around the poolside is really nice.

As chelsea girl says the closest beach is Porthluney - it's a really nice beach with a small cafe/beach shop and toilets. Parking is right next to the beach.

The park doesn't really have views (if it's sea views you're after) but it's a really nicely landscaped and maintained park.  The pitches are also big too 24

Good Luck 24

We love Tregarton. Very friendly & helpful place to go and a beautiful area. Porthluny (caerhays) beach is one of our favourites. There are many others around and some excellent small fishing ports.

They have a decent shop and the Takeaway food is brilliant if its on. If not the chippie at gorran Haven is one of the best. 5 mins in the car.

Pitches are huge & level. Some are terraced but not a problem.
