After the last 2 Christmas and New Years being total disasters due to one thing and another we have decided we want to get away next year.  So while it's still fresh in your mind, those of you that went away, where did you go and was it good.

Looking for places within 1-2 hrs drive (tugging) with entertainment or bar and play area.

We had a lovely time staying in a barn conversion in Shropshire, it's the first time we have been away for christmas and I a few days before we left I was having second thoughts about leaving my mum and sister.  It's was the best christmas I have had since beening small and if I could do it again I would, but working in retail it's difficult to get time off.
