Hi 'orville'. Springhill Farm at Seahouses is a nice site. It's about 1mile to the beach along a country lane. Great views from this site, too.
Just had a look at this site and am considering it as an alternative to our planned visit to Budle Bay. Only concern is that it looks very open with no shelter, Any ideas how windy it gets on a 'normal' day? We go to Budle Bay because it's sheltered and that stretch of coast can be very windy.

Hi 'ka.en' and 'orville'
oh so many questions! I'd say have a good look at the reviews as I've been once and only for 2 nights. We had great weather in September and it wasn't so windy but apparently it can be. . .but I don't think they suffer from frequent tent destruction! I thought the facilities were good. It was easy enough for us to get to . . .but just came down the A1.
Thank you.I think I'll play it safe and stick with Budle Bay this time. Facilities are a bit ancient but last time we went was in the gales in August and we survived - don't think we would have if the site had been more exposed. Will pay a visit to Springhill Farm though if there's a windy day and suss it out for next time - it looks/sounds perfect from the reviews, other than the potential for destruction!
