There are quite a number of campsites in this area.
One particulary good one is Hillhead, it is a caravan club site, it is close to Brixham and you can get a bus close to the entrance.
Another good one is Whitehill Country Park , which is closer to Paignton, but is in the countryside.
If you go into the campsite search part and put in Brixham,it should bring you up sites.

Been to Hillhead twice, great site, bus right outside, dartmouth just round corner, brill.
Agreed!
Great site, lovely restaurant/bar with tasty reasonable food. Well stocked shop and outdoor pool. Ideal for Dartmouth, Slapton area and also Brixham area also.
Only thing we disliked were the awkward pitches - some areas are difficult to get into. Some reviews reflect this, but it would not put me off going there again.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I've heard Hillhead is nice as well. Any reason you particularly wanted to visit Brixham? I used to live there. I agree, the bus is definitely the best way to visit as parking is a nightmare. There are some car parks (that are less popular) dotted around, but you have to like walking!
Berry Head is really nice (and the hotel is nice for drinks overlooking the bay or cream teas).
Hillhead caravan. park You might find that the odd difficult pitch in some areas are individual pitches and are very good. If i remember correctly if you are given a pitch that you find difficult the wardens will site your van for you.
i dont know if this still happens its been a few years since we went there, maybe other members will confirm if this still happens
