Harford Bridge Peter Tavy, Tavistock is a lovely site. Within easy drive of Tavistock for amenites. Pretty site with riverside pitches all down one site of the campsite, loads of picnic benches scattered around site for campers to help themselves. Easy access to the river (if you have dogs) but no children allowed in river. Pub serving very good (but expensive!) food in Peter Tavy village. Very clean and modern shower facilites.
Exe Valley, Nr Dulverton is a small pretty site. Has river on one side, and weir on the other so either side you are next to water. You could fish from your pitch! Country and Exmoor walks from your pitch. Ideal site for visiting the Exmoor villages of Dulverton, Bampton, Dunster etc. Adults only site, local pub serving country food within 2 minute walk. Lots of pheasants! And bats! And someone spotted an otter (not us though!)
