Hi everyone!! Does anybody know of any nice campsites around the Great Yarmouth area? Was thinking of going camping there in August!

Haven Wild Duck about 6 miles south, camping and caravan club CL at Ludham, Gt Yarmouth Racecourse CC site (but dont think they take tents, only trailers) which side were you looking to stay? the Norfolk side has the Broads main attractions, cross over Breydon water and your in Suffolk, a bit quieter apart from the roads!

I haven't been there myself but I know someone that has and claimed that it's a very good site. Try Vauxhall Holiday Park as it's near Breydon Water which is part of the Norfolk Broads and not too far from Great Yarmouth sea front either. follow the link to see what the site has to offer.

Have you got any kids and/or dogs? You could try Drewery Caravan and Camp Site at California, 5 miles north of Yarmouth. The camping field is on a cliff top with direct access to a great beach and with heathland at the side for dog walking etc, and if you don't want ehu you can pretty much pitche where you like. On site shop, small club which does meals, nice pub restaurant across the lane and a take-away/cafe. Small amusement place just down the lane and only a few miles from the lovely boat centre of Potter Heigham, right on the broads. I can recommend it, it's my favourite place.

There is a multitude of sites in Norfolk. Use the campsite search facility and if you can't find one that suits you on there, then it doesn't exist. I would second the vote for Vauxhall but it wont be cheap in August, we've been going there on and off for well over 30 years, a wonderful site espcially for the kids.............Mick

Another vote for Vauxhall, great for kids and within walking distance to the town. Great meals at the White swan alongside the river.

Called into see Vauxhall when we were last in this part of the world.
Not sure about it.
Pitches looked very close together.
Indoor pool looked mad with kids running riot and bombing into the pool.Lifeguards were standing about chatting.
Maybe we just got it on a bad day.
