Need a site that is level(ish) with good access, open to the south and not more than £12 per night, views would be nice but not essential. Need ehu but not facilities. Have looked on here and the club websites, would like a recommendation.

This is the CL at Port Logan listed under Sandhead in the book. We have not stopped on it but frequently looked at it. It could be a bit exposed if/when it is windy.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Thanks, looks to fit our requirements for access.
It is a bit more expensive than your requirement though, unless you can do without an awning, which would be advisable in all but the most pleasant weathers. It is just across the peninsula from New England Bay CC site which does give you a little more shelter from the winds.

Hi
Greenloch house just outside stranraer caravan club certified location. We went a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. It is surrounded on three sides by a loch. The owners are great. £10 a night.
I have tried unsuccessfully to link the site but just put the name in the campsite search and you will find it.

Thanks, have noted that one but one reviewer mentions tight access and we have a 26ft long 7ft 6 ins wide caravan, would it be ok do you think? and are there any trees to the south do you remember (OH pines without his Sky tv). It does sound nice.
