Need to try out our newly converted campervan.

Grandma got kids.

Fancy pitching up and walking to a great country pub (roaring fire, real ales, etc etc)  for food & drink.

Read lots of reviews but just want some inspirational tips - don't get a night off very often & usually trawling reviews for sites with decent kids facilities...

Yorkshire or Peaks.

Thanks.

Have you looked at The Old Hill Inn in Ingleton.  It's actually on the grounds of a very nice looking pub complete with roaring fire and real ales as per your specs!!!

We're booked in there next month, so I can't actually make a reccomendation because it will be our first visit but it looks lovely. it's in the heart of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks so if you fancy burning off some of the reportedly excellent pub food it's right on your doorstep.

Really looking forward to our visit.  I'll be sure to post our experience.

We camped Oct 09 at 'Cote Ghyll' in Osmotherly North Yorkshire.  Fantastic clean campsite with great friendly owners.  Five minute walk into the village which has two great pubs, one of which serves good pub grub with a roaring fire.  The other pub looked great but only sat outside at the bench as had two kids with us!!  Would suit your needs though!!!!!!!  Im dead jealous if you go

Will have a look at recommendations thanks. Osmotherly site has been on my list for a while but not sure you can beat being actually within the grounds of a pub!

LOL, that's certainly what sold it for me (that and the fact they sell Black Sheep ales anyway!!!!)  If you do plump for the Old Hill Inn, google the "Ingleton waterfalls trail" I remember doing it as a kid it was beautiful.  Seems to have been commercialised a little now with an entry fee and a cafe halfway round but it still looks lovely.

The carriagehouse, Marsden http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=10457 above Huddersfield has a roaring fire and great food.  Pitches at the back of pub with hook-up and great bathroom facilities.  Quite remote though.
