Our caravan is sited here purley for the use of the slip way and the good boating community.   It doesn't have a tractor to launch boats but most of us on site have 4 x 4 who gladly take boats in and out.  One of us down there has a 4 x 4 with front tow bar.  The site is brilliant and we have a inflatable and speed boat and me and the kids loves it.......while the mrs is happy to sit, chill and gossip.

Our last visit we had to go on go slow because of the all the doliphins that were about.....

It may be cheaper in the long run to consider something like this.

Then you could use any launching point anywhere.

But there are a few CLs attached to some of the boatyards around the Norfolk and Suffolk broads who have slipways and launcing facilities, but with a max speed limit of 6mph on the rivers, and as low as 4mph in some areas, it probably isnt what you are looking for, but having said that, there are a few Bayliners and big 'Broom' seagoing boats et al around the place, that are happy to cruise along at this speed for a change!

Hi there, we take our boat and camp at Little trevarrack at Carbis bay in St Ives. Although the site isnt a beach site it is in a fantastic location to get to 2 great slipways. Hayle and Penzance. Obviously Hayle puts you into St ives bay on the north coast and a 15 minute drive to Penzance gets you into Mounts bay on the south. Both have everything you need especially lots of parking.

Depending on draft and height of your boat, there are two CLs i know of with slipways, Galecraft at Loddon(south on the river Chet), and DHL Marine at Womack water (North,just off the river Thurne with some bridge restrictions) , with a CL 50 yds away from the public staithe at Beeches farm. the Galecraft one would be the nearest to the estury of Breydon water where speeders are allowed to play lol, or for a longer trip, theres Goodchilds at the head of Breydon water who can handle the larger ships including the lifeboats they service, and they have Visitor berths which are bookable for short term let such as whilst your there on holiday. There are some sites nearby at Burgh castle, and both the ports of Gt Yarmouth and Lowestoft (via Mutford Lock) are reachable by boat from here.

There are quite a few more available, but it would be good to know the actual draft and height sizes of your ship before recommending further.

Hi there, Regarding St Ives, the north coast can be rough but if you look at St ives on Google earth you'll see st ives faces north east and so the harbour, and indeed the whole bay is protected from the atlantic that makes newquay, sennen etc famous for it;s surf.

As for Penzance again as this is on the soth coast and again launching into mounts bay you are well protected.

We have a 3.8m honwave inflatable, if it was rough then the wife and 2 girls (aged 12 +10) wouldn't go out.

Rockley park in Poole???? I know they have a big sailing school there and slipway but if its a powerboat not sure if they would allow it!!

Also you can cruise past the Sunseeker yard and drooooole!!
