Hello all,

Apologies if this has been raised before on the forum, but does anyone out there know of campsites (static caravans) which are located near the tube / bottom of the M1 / A1?

My wife and I want to go into London for a day or two with the kids, but want a place near the bottom of the M1 or A1 and close to the tube.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Can't suggest anything but have you tried using the map search?

I clicked on the end of the M1 and a twenty mile radius and got these results HERE

Hover over the tent symbols and it will give you names and the option to click of there are reviews.

You can also refine the search by clicking the boxes on the left and then updating the search.

Sorry just realised you are looking for a static!  You may be better off looking for Youth Hostels outside the inner London area

Ah I missed the static bit too  However if you use the map search and click the rentals you still get two showing from my orginal search. See HERE You got the choice of Roydon Mill Estate ( no reviews) or The Elms caravan and camping park ( 15 reviews)

It may be cheaper to book into a premier inn or travel lodge in the city?? otherwise when we went to Lee Valley campsite 2 yrs ago they were putting down bases for statics, the site isn't a million miles from the M1/M25 junction and has a bus stop/turnaround on site that goes to Walthamstow tube stn.
