Does anyone know of a small site without frills (but with electricity) either close to the NEC Birmingham or on the rail route?

I know we might have to go into New Street and catch the link but don't mind that.

Would prefer a site near to the canal network for cycling or indeed any other cycling friendly routes.

If you are C&CC members, there is Croxhall Farm near Coleshill (see my review, must learn how to do links), if you don't mind the freight trains! it is near station road, so there may be trains to Birmingham from there; it's not far from the motorways.

Hi, you could try this method of searching for campsites by pinpointing an area to find sites near to it

First click here then choose anywhere on the map, and see all sites within a certain radius.

If you are a member of the C&CC you could try this CL site. It has electric hook ups and the Coventry canal runs through nearby Polesworth too. There is a bus service also from Polesworth that goes into Tamworth where you can catch the train into Birmingham. It's also not far from junction 10 on the M42 which is an easy run to the NEC. I have been to this site and also left a review but this was for their rally field.

If you are C&CC members, have a look at The Paddocks at Southam on their website.  It is a 5 van site alongside the canal.  You can get a train to Birmingham International from Leamington or Warwick.  A very nice site with EHU and two WCs and showers.
