Its been years since we have explored the region around Betws Y Coed and Bala. Can anyone reccomend any sites that are suitable for a motorhome that are within a few miles walk in to the villages and that are open at this time of year. We are hoping to get there this weekend to also enjoy some walking and also a pint or 2 in the villages. Any ideas would be helpful

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
CC MUC site at Betws Y coed, just behind the railway station, and within walking distance of the village centre, but not sure if its open yet with Easter being so late this year.

Just been to wales for a week (got back sunday) and I must say, everywhere was dead apart from saturday night after the Rugby, we went to Bala, no one around and most of the shops and places to eat were closed, It was like a ghost town, we ate in the van every night apart from 1 (sat) I expect it wont liven up until at least easter. we had trouble finding a site open and eventually stayed at Tanyfron in Dogellau (£22 a night fully serviced)

It's called Riverside and is open now. We are booked in there from 9th April for a few nights.
