We have already asked numerous questions on here and are on the verge of camping in the back garden!

We have been to Cornwall before but only for a few days so I came up with the idea of St Ives or that way on, but also like Padstow and Mevagissey way on.

We are going in June, if everywhere isn't booked up by the time we finally get round to booking!

Please reccomend sites that have: a shop, toilets and shower and under cover washing up.

That are:nice and quite but within walkable distance of somewhere (two miles to nearest place is fine for me)

I'm worried about places right next to the beach being super windy (we had a bad experience last year!)

Oh and we also have a large tent (an ebay bargain)

Thank you!

We were in cornwall for feb half term in a nice snug cottage and not a tent mind you and we stumbled across a camp site in Perranporth called Tollgate Farm it is close to the coast but has high banks and hedges surrounding each field.

there is under cover washing up clean shower block shop beach and small town within easy walkin distance and they also have a small takeaway booth for breakfast and evening times!!

search on here for the site we`ve booked for Whitsun half term 7 nights for £210!!

Dennis Cove in Padstow - no shop but fulfills all your other criteria. If you book now you should get in. It is walking distance (an easy 10 min stroll along the Camel Trail) into Padstow, so perfect to avoid the parking issues. Lovely small, quiet site and fairly sheltered. Great views of the estuary if you are in the top field, but it slopes. Bottom field is flat but you don't get the same views, surrounded by trees and bushes though.

Or Gwithian Farm is nice (hayle, nr St Ives). Near the beach but think it was quite sheltered by the dunes...

Here is a touring park near St' Ives that is supposed to be very popular and I understand that you need to book early. Click on the link as it provides all the information you need including pitch fees etc.

Have a look at Polmanter which is a 5 star site just above St Ives. It is a pleasant walk down into St Ives (about 40 minutes) and there is a bus back to the site. The shower blocks are excellent and there is a bar/restaurant and take away but it is still a quiet site at that time of year. It is also a campingcheque site that accepts campingcheques between the 5th and 17th June if that is in your time frame. A pitch for 2 incl EHU for £13.95 is not bad.

Looks good - superb website including extensive video. Like the idea of being able to scan an aerial view of the site to pick your pitch. Best of all you the pitches are defined by hedges "A La France"

Just realised - Even better it's a Camping Cheques site!!!!

I can thoroughly recommend Carnevas. It ticks all your boxes, it is fifteen minutes walk from the lovely beach at Porthcothan. Carnevas it has a shop, bar, EHU, 'van and tent pitches, and indoor washing up. It is only a few miles from Padstow (where there is a Tesco) and ten minutes walk from the coast path. The staff are friendly and helpful too. I have always found the pitch fees among the cheapest in the area.

Hi Tango55, just a quick reminder

Important: When posting details of a camp site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read and left!

Either Little Trevarrack or Polmanter, both great sites and run by members of the same family. You wont go wrong with either and shouldnt have a problem in June away from the school holidays

We like Tregarton park. Not far from Mevagissey. Nearest place is Goran Haven - lovely place. Lots of good beaches around.

Nice site, nice people, huge pitches.

Would recommend both Trevornick near Newquay and Carlyon Bay near St Austell.
