Can't decide really fancy St Andrews - Nydie Campsite or Cumbria - Grizedale.

Anyone been to both or to one and can sway me which way to go, both have good reviews on here, and both allow campfires which i am looking for.

Scared if i pick St Andrews the West will get sunshine for a change and the East with flood and visa versa.

Someone make up my mind for me please.

Probably a case of picking one and hoping for the best.
I love Cumbria and have been fortunate to have had good weather any time we have been there.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Cumbria every time. We honeymooned in Grizedale and it truly is beautiful. I'd move there to live if I could!

Nydie is lovely, great views over the bay, campfires allowed and cracking pub in the village.

You will always take pot luck with weather, had it blistering and wet and wintry in July in that part of the world.

I'll wager it will be slightly cheaper this July than it was last July.

We are going to do a long weekend at Nydie in May, then we'll decide if we want to return for longer.

Thing is I usually fall in love with everywhere I go, just cos it's camping.
