There are far too many sites in the Lakes to recommend a particular one without knowing your preferences regarding area, facilities, location etc.

Lanefoot Farm near Keswick has everything you want I Stayed there last year very friendly owners you can walk to the local pub in 10 mins or in to Keswick in half an hour The campsite is just behind the farmhouse in this picture and this was taken from one of the recommended walks

Have a look at Eskdale Camping and Caravan Club site. Check the reviews on here and you will find they are almost without exception very good. All grass pitches and EHU is you want it and dog friendly. Shower block excellent and owner very helpful. Boot village and 2 good pubs in easy walking distance. Location superb (photo attached looking down the site).

We stayed at The Quiet Site in Ullswater lastyear, dog friendly and has EHU. Lovely area, peaceful, and some fab walks right on the doorstep.
