Hi All
Anybody know if there is a bus service that runs from/nearby Five Acres Campsite at Beetham, Chard to the town of Chard?
Thanks
Laura

Laura, Chard is very small, we love Honiton though, it has a market day, which is great, and if you can get up early you can park in the car park, unless you are very large. The shops there are great, lots of independent ones, lots of charity shops to mooch around, cafes, Antique shops, especialyl down the bottom of town there is a Antique shop that is a collection of sellers under one roof, if you know what I mean, have I sold it to you yet?
I would plump for Honiton, or the other way is Yeovil, which also has lots of nice shops. Have you been to Five acres before?

When you live in Somerset you get used to living without buses I'm afraid but I don't know why everyone has a downer on Chard. I like Chard. tourist info:
http://www.touruk.co.uk/somerset/som_chard.htm
Chard is famous as the home of the first powered flight (no you are quite wrong - it was not the wright brothers)
http://www.chardmuseum.co.uk/Powered_Flight/
It was also the home of the first woman cabinet minister and Chard is also famous for pioneering artificial limbs.
So much to do & see in and around Chard.
