Can any suggest a good site, reasonably priced for a trailer tent, awning and ehu, we have three children under 8 so nothing fancy but a park would be an advantage, but cheap/cheerful and clean would be ideal.
We are hoping to go August - so any suggestions would be most helpful
Thanks xxxx ;-)
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Sad I know - but we stopped at Dinis Dinll - outside Caernafon - loved it ....but the price to stay there now is i think quite expensive - so was hoping to get somewhere in and around this area, or even around Snowden
Unless anyone else can suggest a nice location in Wales ?
I would try looking on the Lleyn Peninsula (use the campsite search) I have stayed here but in the cottage so not sure how much it is sorry but it's a great location
Try here Aberafon close to where you want to be and on the beach, it has a stream running down the side of the site which is great for the kids and a small park on site, The access road is a bit tight but we manage with a large SUV and a twin wheel van but I'd advise sending someone to walk down first to ensure you dont meet anyone as there's no passing places and you'd have fun reversing but dont let it put you off, read the reviews they say it all
------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...
Have you tried looking at Beddgelert Forestry Commission site? It is ideal for families with a nice little playground and lots of walks in the forest and only about 12 miles from Caernarfon and about 7 miles from Portmadog so plently to see and do. The steam railway now runs through the back of the site and I am sure the children would love to see that.
