does anyone no if there is a caravan park on long long "arracher" scotland. (not on camp site search) thx in advance.

Had a night in Arrochar 2 days ago on way home from the Highlands. Yes, there is a site there, just through the main part of the village on the opposite side of the road to the loch. Don't know any more about it other than the road it's on was pretty busy and noisy during the day - but it was a busy and sunny bank holiday Saturday.

the arrochar ccc site is closed but the forest holiday site on the main rd is opened there is also one behind the filling station called glenloin (never been to it though)hope this helps

The site right in the village, behind the petrol station, is a bit... odd. I don't know anything about the shower facilities, but I stop at that filling station frequently and the site is just a strange-looking place. Based on reviews, it suits some people perfectly. There's a little hot roll stand right there that does very good bacon, etc. rolls. And, since you're right in the village, you can walk to quite a few places to eat and the village shops,etc.

Ardgarten is good, but the tent pitches are a bit hit and miss. Great little coffee shop and fab shower block though.
