They may have gone up but it will still cost my family less to stay at the Caravan Club site at Sandringham than the Camping Club site in August this year.
I'm sorry if I didn't make my point very clear.
In our case we managed to pay less by using a private commercial site which was probably a better quality site than the local CC site, mainly because of when the two sites decided to start their high season rates.
So to clarify my point: I think it is worth checking all the sites in the area where you want to stay and the facilities, and if cost is an issue, compare this before booking. I'm sure most people must do this, but there may be those who automatically think that either of the club sites with similar facilities will be cheaper. This may not always be the case, and it will inevitably vary as it is difficult to generalize.
