Ok, we just had a thread about glyn y farm (think that was name) that has a wild camping area. Does anyone know other sites that are the same? Wales, midlands, somerset kind of area?
Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Well there's much of Scotland, and some designated areas of Dartmoor, but have you looked Shell Island. Not really "wild" camping and they won't take kindly to people cutting down trees and lighting fires (except in specified areas) for example, but you should be able to find a pitch fairly remote from the facilities.
Dont like the idea of shell island bob, think it gets a lot of wind as quite exposed. Also think it gets really busy, am looking for a celebrity get me out of here/blair witch experience as opposed to our usual glamping one lol. Thanks tho
easten slade farm on the gower near swansea is a great site. dogs allowed very quiet site has running water and chemical toilets. beach which is a cove about 10 min walk. the owner kate is a lovely lady who will help you in anyway she can. and will even supply you with a fire basket free of charge if you want to light a fire in the evening. and you could pitch a six berth tent there for as little as £10 a night so if its back to basics you are looking for this is an excellent site to try.
