Not sure where Hazel Grove is but the A6 is ok for towing, it's a major trunk road.

 evening.

you can travek on a6 from hazel grove, but beware of the bends, some of em are pretty hairy, especially with the gravel and rock hgv's on this road.

where are you heading for tho, might be better taking a better road, not for the faint hearted this one.

Yeah the A6 isn't too bad for towing just be careful when leaving Buxton and heading for Bakewell, you have to negotiate a pretty steep descent.
Was down there last week lots of diversion signs around Matlock, depending where you are heading shouldn't be too bad

We live a couple of miles down the road from that site, and regularly pass it on our way to Sainsburys at Matlock.

Just to add that the route we return home from the north west is via the M6 down to Junction 16 ( I think) then onto the A50 down as far as the Ashbourne turn off then across the back road and straight into Belper, theres no steep inclines going that way, fairly good towing road and quieter than the A6.

I will edit in the road numbers in a few mins for the back road but its straight ahead all the way from the A50 turn off.

Its the A515 off the A50 into Ashbourne, then straight ahead at the traffic lights onto the A517 which takes you straight into Belper. The site is then via a LH turn at the Mill traffic lights, and up to the Fishpond pub turn off on the A6 (Broadholm lane), which then takes you up towards the site with a LH turn at the top onto Crich Lane, its also not such a sharp corner to take when approaching from the Belper direction. The pub is just past the big cemetry on your RH side.

if you need any further info just ask, will be pleased to help.

Julia
