Hi, its now getting closer to our travel, and needless to say cant find camp sight that suits us. He needs something thats no more than 1 to 1 1/2 hrs drive to Dover as we catch the ferry at 12 noon on the 10th July. We are traveling from Glasgow early hours on the 9th July. Would like quite not to much, child play area, been looking at Kent, some are beautifull with no electric,( never done before), others are like holiday parks, to expensive with children. I now know as a first time camper.......................... to start planning next years asap. Stressd But excited

Theres a CC site at Bearsted, Maidstone. Its just off the M20 (about 2 mins from the M20) and about 50 mins drive from Dover

what about the canterbury ccc its lovely about 15 -20 miles from dover

Kingsdown is a lovely site, near Deal. It doesn't have a play area, but we went there with our kids (8 and 6) at the beginning of the month and they said it was their favourite site because it is so close to the beach. You can also hire fire drums, and the kids loved gathering the wood for them. If you want EHU, you would need to try and book now though.

Agree that the C&CC Club Site in Folkestone is lovely.  Sandwich Leisure Park might be another possibility.
