Hi I have booked to stay here for a week in July for my family (3 boys 5, 8 & 11) Unfortunatley something has come up and my husband has to go into work so will be leaving me on the site on my own with the boys. has anyone stayed here before and can tel me wether there is enough for the 3 to do on site or within a short walk or should we travel there in two cars so i have a car for the week

There is a lot to do on-site but not much within walking distance. You can catch the steam train from Kelling Heath halt, it goes into Holt one way and Sherringham the other. If you are looking to get out each day though, I would take a second car.

I'd agree with Debs the nearest beach is Weybourne, and there is nothing there at all. Not a kiosk, or toilet. When we visited Weybourne, so OH could fish, DD and I had to walk back into the village for the loo and a drink. Can't recall how long it took us but it wasn't five mins was longer. The village shop in Weybourne is tiny too, I've seen bigger camp shops. For beachs to play on Cromer is much nicer. I personally would take an extra car if you can.

The boys might enjoy muckleburgh tank collection just along from Weybourne.
