Another vote here for Tollgate Farm, Perranporth! We are going next tuesday, for the third year in a row.
Perfect for kids, they have a great play area, they have just had a new older kids play area put in, a hugh playing field, animals to see and to top it all the guy that owns it is a really nice guy with a good sense of humour. Check out their facebook page for recent happenings. If you need accomodation for other visitors then its is next to Haven so you can book a static.

Agree with Chelsey girl and Alpiner.

(Hayle)

We've just walked this section of the South West Coast Path and it was a fabulous area, lots of high sandunes for kids/adults to play on, and the beach/water looked so inviting. Also close by to the St Ives beaches.

We stayed  at Penhalvean Pottery  (see UKCampsite.co.uk listing) only £14 a night for a pitch in July/August including EHU.  (a discount for 7 or more nights)

Coast walkers.

Trencreek is OK.  We stayed there as a last minute booking last summer.  It's a little more inland than the others, but still only a 20 min walk from Newquay / Lusty Glaze, etc., and there is a bus stop right outside the site.  They have a shop, chippie, social club + play area too.

If you do book, make sure you ask for a pitch near the fishing ponds as they are quieter and a lot more roomy.  The rest of the site can get pretty cramped in the height of the season.

We tend to go for a more basic site than this as a rule, but for a short notice holiday it did the job.
