Seen this site recommended a few times on here, but was just after a bit more info after reading conflicting reviews.

We are looking for EHU,and have a 7m x 5m tent plus porch, would the pitches be big enough for us?  Also, are they level.

Is there a stream on site?  Our labrador loves water, would he be able to have a paddle?

Someone commented that it was quite noisy in busy times, we're not too bothered about a bit of noise aslong as it's not till very late at night.

Other than all that the site looks lovely so would greatly appreciate everyone's opinions.

small stream which will be fine for your dog. You can also walk from the site through some woods to a resevoir, takes about 20 minutes and your dog can have another swim.

Plots I would say are average in size, I was ok with a 7m x 4m tent and my pitch was fairly level.

Can't remember any problems with noise, but i am a good sleeper.

Thanks for that, sounds just what we're after, just hope they've got some pitches left!

Our pitch was enormous and pretty level and there were 2 Hartford XXLs on the 2 pitches in front of us (all EHU pitches)

The stream runs throught the site behind the play area but as mentioned, you can walk to Cod Beck Reservoir and the Sheep Wash for a good doggy paddle!

Coye Ghyll is one of our favourite sites - maybe not the cheapest, but the facilities are excellent and the wardens are very helpful.
I particulalry love the family bathroom (well worth the £1 charge)
Last time we stayed there was over a BH weekend and the site was full but we didn't experience any excessive noise/rowdy behaviour and the site was naturally quite by about 10.30pm.

hi Tracey

we have just come back from there, came back on the 3rd June. We stayed for 3 nights and it is a lovely site, Personally i think a bit pricey but lovely toilet facilities, little shop, well laid out on different levels so didn't feel over crowded.  tent pitches are pretty big or just give them a ring to check if yours is ok.

10 min walk into Osmotherly which is a gorgeous village which has fish and chip shop and 3 pubs, we ate in the Three Tuns pub wich is more like a restaurant but very stylish with great food.

the shop sells a booklet with about 7 walks straight from the site or the village, only £2  but please take a proper ordnance survey map as well because we still got a bit lost,

The Cleveland way cuts through the area so we did a walk for part of the way, only about 3 miles because we had 5 children with us but still had great views and not too strenuous.  Ay other questions just ask?

Thanks very much Jo, I've emailed and they have availability and I told them the size of our tent.  We're hoping to go Sunday to Friday/Saturday to fit in round our daughter's work commitments.
